Hawkshead

the heart of the National Park surrounded by some of the most
stunning scenery to be found in the whole of the UK.
Many splendid walks can be enjoyed from the village, including
the local beauty spot Tarn Hows, Grisedale Forest is also near
by with its numerous nature trails, picnic areas and fascinating
sculptures, making this an ideal centre for walking, cycling
or touring.
Hawkshead has many historical connections including Hawkshead
Grammar School (which William Wordsworth attended) and the Beatrix
